Hi! I’m a UX/UI designer based in the San Diego, California. Passionate about designing experiences that are accessible, responsive, dependable, and delightful.
I received my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, worked as a research coordinator and lab manager there for 5 years and switched careers to become a UX/UI Web Designer in 2020. My most recent experience was working at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) with the Communications & Marketing team supporting WCER researchers and IT colleagues with website design, maintenance, and application development.
As an aspiring designer, I saw the role of design in efficient workflows and impactful experiences. Digital products that were simultaneously intuitive and elegant like Google Suites, Trello, Slack, Flickr, and Pinterest inspired me to refocus my career on user-centered digital design… that’s why I quit my job as a research coordinator and started my journey with DesignLab UX Academy’s bootcamp.
The collection of projects on this site are the result of my journey. Challenging though the process was, I’ve grown as. designer through getting feedback, learning from mistakes, and making iterations. My work experience with stakeholders and web professionals (designers, developers, project managers) has shaped me to become a designer who can bridge users needs’ with the end product and business stakeholder goals. And I’ve learned lots of tricks along the way with Figma’s Auto-Layout tool to make fast iterations!
Welcome and thank you for looking around! Â
